Hidden
Tonight I had an opportunity (a blessing if you will) to share blessings with others and to hear about their blessings. A recurring idea was of the hidden blessing, or as I like to think of it a veiled blessing. A veiled blessing would be something that at the time comes across as not a blessing, but in retrospect it makes my current situation so much more meaningful. I wonder how often we fail to recognize these veiled blessings, how often we don't allow the shade in front of our eyes to be removed. When things don't turn out a certain way, or when things seem so unbelievably dire, those are the moments when we can be the most open to growth. Those are the moments when we can learn a great deal about ourselves. I wonder if the meaning behind events isn't so much hidden, as it is covered, covered by us. How often do we ignore situations because they make us uncomfortable. Being present in those situations can lead to so much. So much can be learned from these points in life. Being present to each moment, means paying attention to even the bad. This is by no means easy, but struggles and lead to so many greater blessings.
